How to Get There
Dortmund is located at the intersection of several major transport links and therefore easily accessible by car, train and plane.
By car
Dortmund can be reached through several major motorways: the A1 from Bremen, the A45 from Gießen, the A44 from Kassel and the A2 which connects Oberhausen and Hanover.
Using the A1 motorwaycoming from Cologne - take the ‘Hagen Nord’ exit. From there follow the signs to the casino.
Using the A44 or A2 motorway: Follow directions towards ‘Dortmund Zentrum’. From there take route B54 southbound to the Spielbank Hohensyburg casino.
Using the A45 motorway: Take the ‘Dortmund Süd’ exit in the direction of ‘Hohensyburg’. Follow the signs to the casino.
The Spielbank Hohensyburg casino has 600 parking spaces for cars and buses, and offers free valet parking: just take the ramp up to level 2, drop off your car keys and your car will be parked free of charge.
By train
The casino is easily accessible by train. From Dortmund central station (with its numerous ‘ICE’ and ‘Intercity’ train connections to all directions), bus 444 (‘Spielbank-Bus’) will take you to the venue.
Likewise, bus 544 (‘Spielbank-Bus’) will take you to the casino from Hagen central station.
By plane
The Dortmund-Wickede airport is located near the city center and is served by many flights within Germany and from all over Europe.
The Düsseldorf and Cologne airports are also close by and well connected by public transport.
